ISLAMABAD:

Syed Aminul Haque, the federal minister for information technology and telecommunications, declared on Tuesday that Pakistan would introduce 5G technology in 2023.


In a conversation with Wang Hua, the CEO of Zong, he announced the news. Discussions in the huddle focused on connection, 5G technology, telecom spectrum, and the delivery of high-quality services.

The minister emphasized that the supply of broadband services was the IT ministry's top priority and exhorted the telecom industry to modernize infrastructure in order to offer consumers high-quality services.


Everything, he said, is being done to solve the issues cellular mobile operators are running into.

In order to meet the difficulties of the digital world, he declared his determination to introduce 5G technology the following year.


Zong CEO Wang Hua was present at the conference and made announcements like the impending release of a microfinance application for e-commerce and his company's readiness to fully work with the Ministry of IT in the rollout of 5G technology.
